Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan said in a program organized at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of telecast of 100th episode of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program that it is not just a program but a program to inspire people, to bring forth inspiring stories among us and It is a powerful platform to give the ideas necessary for the creation of a new India the form of a mass movement. In fact, the Mann Ki Baat program is the Mann Ki Baat of the people of the whole of India. A grand program was organized at Raj Bhavan on the telecast of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. In which Padma Shri awardees, eminent people of film, sports, medical field, people of Chhattisgarh who were mentioned in Mann Ki Baat, all those eminent people and eminent citizens were present.

In the 100th episode of the programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that this is a medium to connect with all the countrymen. He said that this program has become a platform to bring hundreds of inspiring achievements of women power to the fore. He also mentioned the women self-help group of Deurgaon village of Saja development block of Bemetara district, which is running a campaign to clean the streets and lanes of their village by joining the cleanliness drive.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has increased people’s participation in this journey of development by having direct and two-way communication with the people through this programme. The ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program is broadcast by All India Radio in 22 Indian languages ​​and 29 dialects, as well as in 11 foreign languages. All the networks of Doordarshan along with more than 500 stations of All India Radio broadcast it. In Chhattisgarh, it is broadcast by Akashvani in Hindi as well as in Chhattisgarhi, Gondi, Halbi and Surgujia dialects.

The Governor said that about 100 crore people of the country have heard the Mann Ki Baat program sometime or the other. There are about 23 crore people who regularly listen to the Mann Ki Baat programme. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has discussed various topics including environment, cleanliness, health, agriculture in various episodes of Mann Ki Baat. The Prime Minister has so far mentioned more than 700 individuals and more than 300 organizations in this programme.

The Governor said that many such celebrities of Chhattisgarh were present in today’s programme, who have been mentioned by the Prime Minister in various episodes of “Mann Ki Baat”. He welcomed them all and congratulated them. At the same time, congratulated the team of All India Radio and Doordarshan for the successful telecast of “Mann Ki Baat” program and expressed confidence that this program will continue continuously with new motivational episodes and encourage people to participate in building a new India.
