On the occasion of International Labor Day 01 May, a labor convention is being organized at the Science College ground in the capital Raipur from 12 noon. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will attend this conference as the chief guest. Labor Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria will preside over the programme. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will transfer an amount of Rs. 47.12 crore to about one lakh laborers through DBT in their bank accounts under various schemes and will also inaugurate labor assistance centers in Arang and Patan.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will also interact with the beneficiaries of the Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agricultural Laborer Justice Scheme in the Labor Conference being organized at the Science College ground. In the conference, the beneficiaries benefited from the schemes being run by the Labor Department for labor welfare will also be felicitated. An exhibition based on the schemes being run for the workers will also be organized at the venue. On this occasion, a mass sack feast will be organized in honor of the workers. It is worth mentioning that in view of the important role of laborers in the development of Chhattisgarh, according to the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, on Labor Day, Bore-Basi Tihar is also being organized in the state to express gratitude towards labour.
In the Labor Conference, the Chief Minister will transfer an amount of Rs 47.12 crore to the bank accounts on the beneficiary oriented schemes of the Labor Department. In these, Rs 22.76 crore to 83086 beneficiaries under Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Rs 20.83 crore to 11542 beneficiaries under Chhattisgarh Unorganized Workers State Social Board, Rs 3.09 crore to 6457 beneficiaries under Chhattisgarh Labor Welfare Board and 50 insured persons under Employees State Insurance Services. Medical benefit amounting to Rs.44.55 lakhs, thus involving transfer of Rs.47.12 crores through DBT to the bank account of total 101135 beneficiaries.
