Basi has been considered the main diet in Chhattisgarh. Basi is consumed by people of all strata of the society. The rice left over from the night can be soaked in water and it can be easily consumed as breakfast or during lunch. That’s why it is also considered as an accessible dish. Many people like to eat sacks and stale, especially in the summer season. Research has been done on Bore and Basi tell that research done in America on Bore and Basi found that eating it keeps de-hydration, BP and hypertension under control.
Basi is so ingrained in the lives of the residents of the state of Chhattisgarh that it is also used symbolically to tell the time. When it comes to going somewhere in the morning, the answer is to leave after eating stale, it is known that the person will leave the house after 8 in the morning. On the other hand, when it comes to the time of eating stale food in the afternoon, it is believed that it is about one o’clock. ‘Baasi khay ke bera’, it is known that it is time for lunch.

People in Chhattisgarh have been eating  Basi (soaked rice overnight) as breakfast for years. In Chhattisgarh, people eat this traditional food Bore- Basi with great enthusiasm. It works to keep the body cool in summer. Actually, when fresh rice is eaten after dipping it in water, it is called BORE. It is said to beBASI when eaten on the second day. Then it is eaten with mango or lemon pickle, onions and green chillies, curd or buttermilk, bhaji, rakhiya badi, masoor dal curry, left over night tur dal, kadhi or badi-bijouri. Eating this makes you very thirsty and drinking more water does not cause problems like de-hydration. It is said that after eating it, it controls the body temperature. Because of which there is no effect of heat and sunstroke. Eating this also gives good sleep.
Increases stale digestion power: – Increases digestion power during summer days. Sacks keep the body cool. Helps to balance the softness and weight of the skin, it contains all the nutrients. Chhattisgarhian dishes, sacks and stale are not only tasty to eat, but eating it makes you very thirsty and drinking more water does not cause problems like dehydration. After going to work after eating this, the body temperature remains controlled, due to which there is no effect of heat and heat stroke. Eating this also gives good sleep, due to which the fatigue of working people is removed.

With these vegetables, the taste of stale gets doubled.
Benefits of eating Basi: – Consuming Bore and Basi in the summer season can prove to be beneficial. Consuming this keeps the coolness in the body throughout the day. People who have high BP problem, they can control it by consuming ‘Baasi’. Even though this is an indigenous method, but its benefits are many. You can eat Basi to get rid of stomach related problems. This diet improves digestion and problems like gas or constipation will also stay away from you. Owing to the high amount of water in Basi, it takes more urine, this is the reason that if Basi is consumed regularly, diseases occurring in the urinary system can be avoided. The problem of stones can also be avoided. There is freshness in the face, energy in the body. Basi contains many nutrients essential for the body such as carbohydrates, vitamin B-12, calcium, Potassium and iron are present in abundance. It contains more calories than fresh rice, so people who want to gain weight must make it a part of their diet. Bore -Basi contains other nutrients which maintain the balance of the body in the summer season, due to which our fatigue goes away by eating it.
