Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the collective Adarsh Vivah, Bhakta Mata Karma Jayanti Mahotsav and Bhamashah Jayanti program organized at Gatapar village of Patan development block of Durg district today. On this occasion, he blessed 16 newly married couples who entered into married life. The Chief Minister also announced Rs 50 lakh for the social building of Sahu Samaj in Patan and beautification of Gatapar Talab. In this program organized by Sahu Samaj, 1007 lamps were lit and a cultural program was presented along with Mahaarti of Maa Karma Devi.
Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said that Shahu Samaj is a progressive society. Due to social awareness and organization power, this society is progressing rapidly. Mass marriages are being organized by Sahu Samaj for the last 20 years, this is an example of their progressiveness. He said that 55 acres of land has been allotted in Rajim for Rajim Maghi Punni Mela, where from construction of approach road to construction of Dharamshala for saints and saints, construction of dome and other construction works are being done in a planned manner. Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu told the office bearers of the society to take every decision in the social interest. District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Ashok Sahu, former MLA Dr. Dayaram Sahu and other people’s representatives and office bearers and social brothers of Sahu Samaj were present in the programme.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of works worth 57 lakhs in the programme. The dedicated works include water tank at Gatapar at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, community building at a cost of Rs 6.50 lakh, public toilet at a cost of Rs 3.50 lakh, theater at a cost of Rs 3 lakh, renovation of Karma Bhavan at a cost of Rs 2 lakh. , Theater at Umarpoti at a cost of Rs 2 lakh, government fair price shop and godown at a cost of Rs 10 lakh and restoration work in Sheetla temple premises at a cost of Rs 5 lakh.
