Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain has said that employment should be made available to needy people in rural areas under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme. Under this scheme, plantation work should be taken up on both the sides of the Ram-Van-Gaman-path. He said that special attention should be paid to providing regular employment to the needy families.

 The Chief Secretary was reviewing the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Electronic and Information Technology Department at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahu, Director of Panchayat Department Mr. Kartikeya Goyal along with other senior officers of Information Technology, Panchayat and Rural Development Department participated in the meeting. In the meeting, during the progress of electronic and information technology, the works of connecting all the departments under CG camp activity, data center and cadastral map geo-refreshing under PM Gati Shakti were reviewed.

The Chief Secretary has said that at least one cow dung waste paint unit should be set up in each development block, so that cow dung waste paint is easily available for painting the buildings of government offices, schools, hostels, ashrams and anganwadi centers. May be In the review of Narva development, officials said that two lakh 36 thousand 387 works have been approved. Out of which one lakh 85 thousand 628 works have been completed and remaining 25 thousand 820 works are in progress. Chhattisgarh has been provided an incentive amount of Rs 107 crore in the year 2022-23 by the Central Government for the good performance of Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana.

Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, in the year 2022-23, 1808 roads with a length of 5763 kms under renovation and 3664 roads with a length of 17577 kms under regular maintenance for five years, whose work has been completed. An amount of Rs 765 crore has been spent on these works, for which a budget provision of Rs 700 crore was made by the state government. In the year 2023-24, a budget provision of Rs 300 crore has been made by the state government against the budget proposal of 782 roads length 2915 km under renovation work and total estimated cost of 23225 km length 23225 km under five years regular maintenance.

Officials said that Panch, Sarpanch, Janpad members and representatives of District Panchayat members have been given vocational training. Under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Vikas Yojana, 1783 roads whose length is 5429 kilometers have been approved so far, out of which the work of 1718 roads has been completed. Similarly, 7178 Gauravpaths have been approved so far under the Mukhyamantri Gram Gauravpath Yojana and the work of 7126 Gauravpaths has been completed.

The status of operation of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) was reviewed in the meeting. Officials informed that 300 Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Parks (RIPA) have been approved. Out of which 263 RIPA works have been started. In these, 2267 women and 867 men beneficiaries have been provided employment by linking them with RIPA activities. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), 11 lakh 76 thousand 150 Pradhan Mantri Awas were sanctioned from the year 2016-17 to the year 2022-23. Of these, 8 lakh 52 thousand 838 works have been completed.
