The debris of construction works is coming out rapidly in the capital and till now the problem of its disposal was serious. Its effective solution has been done in the form of C&D Waste Management Plant at Hirapur-Jarwai. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel observed this during the meeting in Raipur West Assembly today. He also discussed with the managers of the plant and the women of the group working here.
In the discussion, the Chief Minister said that waste recycling management is the biggest need of today’s era. Our cities are expanding rapidly. Through this plant, you have turned the challenge into an opportunity. The women working here told the Chief Minister that paver blocks, drain covers, checkered tiles, cemented chairs, etc. are being made from the debris here. Aarti Dehre, a woman from Attari village who comes to work here, told that 2500 paver blocks are made here every day. Every day she earns Rs.200. Thanking the Chief Minister, Aarti said that you have started this very good plant.
Manju Barle of Veer Mahila Self Help Group, who works in the plant, told that I live in the nearby Attari village, earlier the economic condition of the house was not good, we had no work, used to sit empty in the house, now C&D By getting work in the plant, there is an income of 6 thousand rupees per month. Similarly, Bharti Nishad, a woman of Jai Maa Ambe self-help group, working in C&D plant, told that she lives in nearby Attari village, earlier it was difficult to raise two children due to low income, but now the household is doing well after getting work here. And money is also being saved.
Rinki Nishad, a woman of Chhattisgarh self-help group working in C&D plant, told that our economic condition has improved a lot by working here. Rinki Nishad said that the sale of products manufactured from here should increase so that production is encouraged and more and more women like us can get employment.
The plant is spread over 2 acres, built at a cost of 2.76 crores
The Construction and Demolition Waste Processing Plant is spread over an area of about 2 acres in Jarwai. The processing capacity of this plant built with the funds of the Fifteenth Finance Commission is 65 tonnes per shift. This is the biggest plant of Chhattisgarh. With this, the corporation will get an annual income of Rs 7 lakh 20 thousand.
