Health Minister Shri T.S. In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in the country and the state, Singhdev gave necessary guidelines by holding a meeting of senior departmental officers today. He asked the officials of the health department to keep alert and keep all the arrangements in place for the investigation, treatment, prevention and control of corona. The Health Minister directed to ensure proper arrangement of medical equipments, oxygen kits, vaccines, medicines, consumables etc. along with getting maximum number of tests done through RTPCR test to confirm it in people with symptoms of Kovid-19. Health Minister Mr. Singhdev has given instructions to conduct 10,000 tests daily while expediting the sample testing of patients suspected of corona. He also asked to start training of human resource related to operation of life saving equipment and treatment of Kovid-19 in hospitals. Mr. Singhdev inquired about normal beds as well as ICU beds, HDU beds and beds with oxygen facility and ventilator facility in the hospitals. He also inquired about the availability of surgical masks, PPE kits, caps, gloves and N-95 masks in the hospitals.
The Health Minister said in the meeting that 95 percent of the corona-infected patients are now recovering from home isolation treatment. But in view of the ever-increasing infection rate in the country and the state, preparations for its treatment and control will have to be kept in the hospitals as well. Health department officials informed in the meeting that the number of samples being tested daily is being increased in the state. Between April 11 and April 17, an average of 3763 tests have been done daily, whereas in the first week of March, an average of 1008 tests are being done daily.
Officials said that in the last one month (between March 17 and April 17), 11 patients of Kovid-19 have died in the state, out of which eight were suffering from comorbidity. Out of these 11 patients, four patients had not got vaccinated against Kovid-19.
