Raipur: Every registered worker should be informed about the schemes of Labor Department: Chief Secretary

Chief Secretary reviewed the works of Labour, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development and General Administration Department

Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain conducted an in-depth review of the works of Labor, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department and General Administration Department in order of priority schemes of the state government at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here today. The Chief Secretary has instructed the officials of the Labor Department that every registered laborer should be benefited by informing them about the schemes being run for them.

The Chief Secretary has given instructions to the officials of the Labor Department to carry out planned work for the construction of houses or purchase of new houses for the workers under the Chief Minister’s Construction Workers’ Housing Assistance Scheme. In the meeting, the progress made under individual and community forest rights under the Forest Rights Act was reviewed. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to the officials of the Scheduled Caste Department to ensure that the beneficiaries benefited from various schemes of the state government under the Forest Rights Act. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu was present in the meeting.

While reviewing the schemes of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, the Chief Secretary reviewed individual and community forest rights recognition letters under the Forest Rights Act. Officials said that the number of approved and accepted claims under individual forest rights is about 4 lakh 67 thousand 569. 4 lakh 61 thousand 377 forest rights letters have been distributed to the beneficiaries. More than 3 lakh 74 thousand 628 hectares of land has been distributed to the beneficiaries.

Similarly, the number of approved and accepted claims under Community Forest Rights is about 47 thousand 391. Under Community Forest Rights, so far more than 47 thousand 91 forest rights letters have been distributed to the beneficiaries and more than 20 lakh hectares of land has been distributed to the beneficiaries. Similarly, 4 thousand 19 claims have been approved under Community Forest Resource Rights and 17 lakh 34 thousand 163 hectares of land has been distributed to about 3 thousand 974 beneficiaries.

Officials said that due to the convergence of various departments in the land distributed under the Forest Rights Act 2006, land leveling, bunds, sheds for animal husbandry, tube-wells for irrigation, stop dams, animal husbandry and poultry, goat rearing and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, exchange Beneficiaries are being benefited from other welfare schemes of the state government including Sahayata, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, agriculture loan.

In tribal sub-plan areas, various construction and repair and maintenance works are being done at Devgudi, village deity sites in tribal sub-plan areas to preserve the tribal culture and culture of Scheduled Tribes. Under this, an amount of Rs 5 lakh is sanctioned for each village dominated by Scheduled Tribes. Under this, 717 works have been approved in the year 2022-23.

Under the Mukhyamantri Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Chief Minister has announced to provide Rs 10,000 to each Gram Panchayat for the best organization of festivals of tribal society in Bastar division, Surguja division and scheduled areas of the state. Under this, a provision of Rs 5 crore has been made as a new item in the year 2023-24.

The Chief Secretary, while reviewing the repair, maintenance and painting work of the hostels and ashrams under the Tribal Development Department, said that in about 500 ashrams and hostels, the works of painting and repairing buildings with cow dung paint are being done. Are. This work will be completed in all ashrams and hostels by June 10. The meeting also discussed in detail regarding the use of multi-storey buildings for the offices of various commissions of all the state governments.

In the meeting, Secretary, Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development Department, Mr. D.D. Singh, Secretary, General Administration Department, Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary, Energy Department, Mr. Ankit Anand, Secretary, Labor Department, Mr. Amrit Kumar Khalkho and Commissioner, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development, Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Deputy Labor Commissioner, Ms. Savita Mishra, Tribal Development Department , Labor Department and other officers of General Administration Department were present.
