Looking at the debris of demolished school buildings in Naxal-affected areas of Bastar, no one could have guessed that the picture here would change like this. In the “Bharose Ka Sammelan” organized in Jagdalpur, this model is showing the picture of rejuvenation of education in Naxalite affected area of Bastar at Sanvarta Sukma stall.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, in the year 2018-19, it was decided to re-start the schools which were demolished earlier in the sensitive areas of Bastar. Due to the demolition of most of the school buildings by the Naxalites, a total of 123 schools were closed from the year 2006 to 2010 in development block Konta under Sukma district. Most of the school buildings were demolished by the Naxalites, the schools were not operated for about 12 to 13 years. As per the wish of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, 123 closed schools were reopened in Sukma district from 2018-19 to 2022-23. Initially the schools were run in huts built by the villagers. At present, the approval of the building has been given by the government in 30 places. Out of which buildings have been completed at 54 places. The construction work is in progress at the remaining places. Presently 4382 children are studying in these schools.

Due to their efforts, all the schools which were closed in the district for the last four years are running again through Shikshadoots.
