Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said in the Bharose Ka Sammelan held at Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar division, that earlier bullets were fired in Bastar, today the songs of the youth resonate. Earlier people used to scare people from coming to Bastar. Today employment and innovation are visible in Bastar. On the other hand, the special guest of the program Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi said that the culture of Bastar and the innovation happening in Chhattisgarh have an echo in the whole world. Nehru ji and Indira ji had special respect for the people of Bastar. In the program, he bought paddy – praised the Chhattisgarh government for the MSP model of minor forest produce and the health model.  

In the ‘Conference of Trust’ program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has launched the ‘Chief Minister Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana’ with the aim of preserving the culture and tradition of Teej festivals of tribals in the special presence of Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi. Under which a grant amount of Rs 10,000 will be given annually in two installments to the Gram Panchayat of the scheduled areas. On this occasion, under this scheme, he distributed an amount of Rs.5000 each to 1840 gram panchayats as the first installment.

While addressing the conference, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the lands of tribals were snatched here. The first example in the country was when we did the work of returning the tribal lands in Lohandiguda. We are walking on the path of development, Bastar is moving forward. People are taking advantage of the schemes. The work of taking Bastar forward again through education is going on. Mrs. Indira Gandhi had come, she had given pattas to the tribals. Rahul Gandhi has got the land pattas back to the tribals. The youth of Bastar are getting employment.

He said that today clothes are being made in Denex in Dantewada, these clothes are going to the country and the world. Our sisters are working, moving forward. Our government did the work of giving forest rights pattas to lakhs of families. This conference is a conference of the trust of tribals, farmers, laborers, mothers, children, Bastar and Chhattisgarh. Maa Danteshwari Mai, Dussehra of Bastar, and the culture of the tribals here is the identity of Bastar, working towards preserving the culture and traditions of Bastar, we are manufacturing Devgudis and Ghotuls. Our schemes have brought prosperity to farmers and small forest produce vendors and tendu leaf collectors in forest areas.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that we have announced holidays on public festivals. Our effort is to provide work to maximum number of people and participate in the development of the people. We are not giving shoes, slippers and mobiles but putting money directly in your pocket so that you can buy whatever you want. We have put Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the pockets of the people. We are giving Rs 7000 per year to Baiga, Pujari, Gunia and the landless. While working for all round development, we are empowering the people. Our government is a government that takes everyone along. We have waived farmers’ loans, fulfilled the promise of getting Rs 2500 for paddy along with input subsidy and support price. Under the Rajiv Kisan Nyay Yojana, the work of giving 9000 rupees per acre to the farmers has been done. This is the reason that today lakhs of families of the state have started on the path of progress.

The special guest of the program Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi while addressing the trust conference said that I have come here for the first time, you do not know me, you have come because you have faith in my family. I know about the stories here, your culture, your struggle since childhood. The members of my household have known your culture, struggles and challenges. He praised the schemes being run by the Chhattisgarh government in the interest of the people here and said that every class in Chhattisgarh is happy and moving forward. Our Congress government has done the work of making every hand strong.

Mrs. Gandhi said that the most important thing in public life is trust. When I came here, a sister had prepared ice cream for me since morning, but when I reached there, she told me that you have to speak from the stage now, don’t eat cold ice cream… This is a sister’s trust, a I bonded with him in an instant. A place is identified by three things. Respect for culture, respect for people and respect for people by the government. The Chief Minister told all of you that once upon a time people were afraid to come here. Today this Bastar has become a brand. Your income is increasing with the help of the government. My grandmother Indira Gandhi respected all of you tribal brothers and sisters a lot for respecting nature. Here the rate of unemployment is very low and the MSP for forest produce is the highest. The health model here is an example for the country.

     Addressing the program on this occasion, Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Minister in charge of Industries and Bastar district, welcomed Smt. Priyanka Gandhi on behalf of the citizens of Bastar region. He said that the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is the leading Chief Minister of the country. MP Bastar Mr. Deepak Baij welcomed Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi on her first arrival in Bastar, the holy land of Maa Danteshwari and said that the Gandhi-Nehru family has a deep connection in the land of Bastar. Former MP Ms. Selja and MLA Mr. Mohan Markam also addressed the program.
