Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel released an amount of Rs. 5 crore 32 lakh online from his residence office here today under the state government’s ambitious ‘Godhan Nyay Yojana’ to cattle rearing villagers, women groups and Gauthan committees. Under this, apart from payment of Rs 2 crore 91 lakh in lieu of 1 lakh 45 thousand quintal cow dung purchased from March 16 to March 31, distribution of dividend amount of Rs 1.43 crore to Gauthan committees and Rs 98 lakh to women groups is included. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that we have made continuous achievements in the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, but the rapid increase in the number of self-supporting Gothans in the state is our biggest achievement, because the main objective of this scheme is to Villages have to be made economically self-sufficient. He also appreciated the new dimension being given to the development of villages through the scheme. The Chief Minister said that in order to encourage Gauthan committees for self-reliance, an important decision has been taken to give Rs. 750 to the presidents of self-supporting Gauthan committees and Rs. 500 to the members every month. I appeal to all Gauthan committees that they should also move fast in the direction of self-reliance and take maximum advantage of the incentives.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the farmer brothers must have already received this good news that from the coming month of November, now paddy will be purchased at the rate of 20 quintals per acre. This was being demanded by the farmer brothers for a very long time. Similarly, the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana has also been expanded. Now the landless agricultural laborers of Nagar Panchayats and Municipalities of Scheduled Area will also get the benefit of this scheme. To take advantage of this scheme, landless agricultural laborers must apply by April 15.
The Chief Minister said that the socio-economic survey has also been started in the villages in the state from April 1, as the census has not been conducted since 2011. New beneficiaries will also be identified through this survey. They will also be able to get the benefits of schemes like housing, gas cylinders, toilets. Along with this, applications for unemployment allowance have also been started from the educated unemployed from April 01 itself. For this, they have been given the facility of online application. On the very first day, applications of more than 6000 unemployed were received, which were also approved on the same day.
Agriculture and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey also addressed the program. He told that the Godhan Nyaya Yojana is proving important in making the people financially strong in the state. Due to this, the economic and social condition of the villages has gained a lot of momentum. It is noteworthy that out of the amount being given to cow dung vendors in the program today, an amount of Rs 01 crore 67 lakh is being paid by the self-supporting Gothans themselves. While Rs 01 crore 24 lakh is being paid by the department.
