Krishnakunj expansion work, the biggest garden being built for the city by Forest Department in Kukurdi bypass near district headquarter Balodabazar, is in the final stage. In this park, where there will be open gym for adults, swing and butterfly park are being developed for children. All the works will be completed in the next 15-20 days.

It is noteworthy that in the urban areas, a garden named Krishna Kunj has been developed by the Forest Department. Which was launched on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. Various species of shady and fruitful plants have been planted by the Forest Department in Krishna Kunj. With this, along with the protection and development of the plant, the residents of the city will get good facilities for roaming around in a clean environment. Krishnakunj of Balodabazar has also been expanded with the help of the district administration. The Divisional Forest Officer gave this information during the inspection of works of the Forest Department at Balodabazar today by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. Sanjay Shukla.

Today Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Shukla reached Balodabazar-Bhatapara district on his one-day stay. He inspected the various works of the department in detail by conducting a surprise inspection of various places under the Balodabazar Forest Division. Under which he inspected the grass land prepared from Campa item in Rampur under Baranvapara Sanctuary, check dam and other structures under Narva Development Program, construction of report made on Pakrid to Kantara road, ANR survey work in Devpur range, elephant in Kothari range. Met friends, also met the committee members and villagers who run the rest house in Dev Hills. Apart from this, he has also done work on Achanakpur to Chanhat WBM road, Van Dhan Kendra at Nawagaon, river bank plantation at village Sinodha,

Mr. Shukla has also inspected other places of the district and asked to further promote river bank plantation. Apart from this, he gave necessary instructions to the officers of the forest department for continuous inspection in the field and protection of wildlife. During this, the Chief Conservator of Forests, Raipur Mr.J.R. Nayak was also present.

Dev Hills Committee purchased 50 quintals of dried Palash flowers for the first time in a profit of Rs 12 lakhs

During this, DFO Mr. Mayank Agarwal told that Dev Hills Resort is the first choice of tourists. The forest committee running this resort is currently making a net profit of Rs 12 lakh, which is a role model for the state. Along with this, for the first time in the district, dried Palash flowers have been procured at the support price. Under this, 50 quintals have been purchased by the committee. The DFO also informed that the first Van Dhan Kendra of the district has been opened at Navagaon. Collector Mr. Rajat Bansal and Superintendent of Police Mr. Deepak Jha were also present on this occasion.
