Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various works worth about Rs 17 crore at Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University today. This includes dedication of Rs 10 crore 03 lakh and foundation stone works worth Rs 6 crore 58 lakh. On this occasion, he visited Adi Shakti Banjari Mata in the Banjari temple located in the campus and offered prayers and wished for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the people of the state. Along with this, he inaugurated works worth about Rs 3 crore in the temple premises.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that our government has done remarkable work in the field of education in Chhattisgarh whether it is higher education or school education and has also taken steps for the welfare of the youth. The state government has started new trades of ITI so that our youth can get employment in new areas and according to the demand of the market. Along with this, we are going to give unemployment allowance of 2500 per month to the educated unemployed youth of the state from 01 April 2023.
The Chief Minister said that few years ago there were less number of universities and colleges in the field of higher education in Chhattisgarh. But now the number of universities has increased substantially. A large number of colleges have opened. Where there were no colleges in remote areas, now the youth there are getting the facility to study there. He said that our government has opened two universities and 33 new government and 76 new non-government colleges in these four years. At the same time, 23 new colleges have also been approved this year. Due to this, the number of seats in colleges has increased by more than one lakh. He said that the increase in the number of seats will benefit most students in poor and rural areas, earlier they used to face difficulty in getting admission in government colleges due to less number of seats, now they can easily get admission in government colleges. The Chief Minister said that for good education, it is necessary that there should be sufficient number of teachers in educational institutions, so our government has so far appointed 1200 assistant professors. Along with this, 40-40 librarians and sports officers have also been appointed. Not only this, took concrete steps to improve the quality in the field of school education and opened 279 Swami Atmanand English Medium Excellent Schools and with the budget and other announcements, now its number will exceed 300. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar University Mr. Kesharilal Verma said that Pandit Ravi Shankar University is the only university out of 16 universities in the country, which has got the project of Promotion of University Research and Science Excellence by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Central Government. Also our university has been selected under G-20 University Connect, 
The works to be dedicated in this program include Students’ House Building, Library and Information Science Study Building, Second Floor in Basic Science Center, First Floor in Bio-Technology Study Building, Second Floor in Power Grid Hostel, Extension of Library Building, Renovated Auditorium-Building, Campus In the newly built garden and five buildings Biological-Bhawan, Geology-Bhawan, Art-Bhawan, Pharmacy-Bhawan, Lift and foundation stone works in Mathematics Statistics Bhawan, Integrated Examination-Bhawan, New Guest-House are included. MLA Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Registrar Mr. Shailendra Patel and university professors, officers-employees and other guests were present on this occasion.
