Sand artist Mr. Hemchand Sahu had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel in his office room located here today. He presented his sand sculpture to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister thanked Mr. Sahu for his visit. Appreciating this art of Mr. Sahu, he wished him a bright future. Social workers Mr. Roop Singh Sahu, Mr. Kanhaiya Tiwari and Mr. Kishore Chakradhari were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Sahu told that he has learned sand art from Orissa’s famous sand artist Mr. Sudarshan Pattnaik and he also exhibits his artworks from time to time at Triveni Sangam in Rajim. He has also been honored for this art by various honors across the country including Tarachand Smriti Samman and by the then Governor of Chhattisgarh Ms. Anusuiya Uike.
