Raipur21 march 2023. Raipur Municipal Corporation will issue bonds worth Rs 200 crore for the first time. Mayor Ejaz Dhebar made this announcement while presenting the budget for the year 2023. Raipur will be the first Municipal Corporation of Chhattisgarh which is going to do this. Understand this issue of 200 crore bonds in simple words in such a way that people will invest in the Municipal Corporation and in return of this investment, the Municipal Corporation will give interest to the people.

The corporation will invest the amount of this public investment in the development works of the city. Mayor Dhebar presented a budget of 1 thousand 608 crores for Raipur. The budget of Raipur Corporation will be presented today. Mayor Ejaz Dhebar reached Nigam Bhawan with a briefcase painted with cow dung. In this brismacase, Chhattisgarh Mahatari was inscribed on one side and Kamdhenu’s picture on the other side. Mrityunjay Dubey, spokesperson of the BJP councilor party, has said that the councilors have raised questions related to public interest in the House. He has demanded the Chairman to get factual written answers to the questions. Mrityunjay Dubey said that with the arrival of independent councilor Gopesh Sahu, the number of BJP councilors has increased to 30. Deputy Leader Manoj Verma, former Leader of Opposition Suryakant Rathore, Zone President Vinod Agarwal, Pramod Sahu, General Secretary Ramesh Thakur, Satyam Dua, President of City Mahila Morcha Seema Santosh Sahu and 27 councilors were present in the meeting.

In the recent meeting of the Mayor-in-Council (MIC) of the Municipal Corporation, discussions were held on distribution of treated water received from Sewage Treatment Plant to industrial institutions, construction of 36 food parks on the lines of Telibandha pond on PPP mode, Amrit Mission scheme. Pipeline and valve replacement work in several wards, opening of Sea Mart in Mangalam commercial complex located at Agrasen Chowk for implementation of Sea Mart scheme, construction of drain from Yastambh Chowk to Shaheed Memorial Millennium Plaza to Rajbandha Maidan Purana Nala, recorded in Sondongri The land was approved for construction of dog shelter on the allotted land for construction of slaughter house, repair of dilapidated roads and BT renewal, part hole, patch repair work etc.

Raipur Municipal Corporation has planned balanced development for the year 2023-24. Roadmap has been prepared, under this-

• Bonds worth Rs 200 crore will be issued for the Raipur Municipal Corporation to generate additional sources of income and for financial management and resources for various income generating projects. The proceeds of the bond will be used for various income generating projects and the proceeds from these projects will be used for repayment of the bond.

• City Forest Scheme will be implemented to develop green cover and biodiversity in Raipur Municipal Corporation area. Under this, it has been envisaged to allow urban forest development within 10 kilometers of the urban body’s limits.

The target of purification of Kharoon river will be included in the action plan for the next two years. Flowing through Raipur city while ensuring smooth operation of all STPs.
