Important contribution of youth in building Shrestha Bharat: Vice Chancellor Dr. K.L. Varma

At the conclusion of the national seminar focused on the role of Subhash Chandra Bose and Azad Hind Fauj in the National Movement, Dr. Omji Upadhyay, Director of the Indian Council of Historical Research, said that eight streams of history writing were going on simultaneously in the country, in which Subhash Chandra Bose’s Section was also included. He said that the British had to take the decision to liberate India on August 15, 1947, because of the support of the Indian National Movement of the Azad Hind Army, led by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. 

    Dr. Omji Upadhyay said that the British did not trust the Indian soldiers of the British Army that the Indian soldiers would act on the instructions of the British. The British were getting information that British Indian soldiers could work under the guidance of the INA. In such a situation, the imperialist system of the British may collapse, so it was decided to liberate India on August 15, 1947 ahead of time. Referring to Louis Fischer’s sentences, he said that Netaji was a patriot of patriots and the country could not be divided due to him. The main speaker in the program, Department of History, Ravindra Bharati University, Kolkata, Prof. H.K. Patel, the special guest of the program, Prof. Head of the Department of History, Guru Ghasidas Central University. Praveen Kumar Mishra also expressed his views in his seminar. 

Presiding over the program, Dr. K.L. Verma said that this event will be successful in enlivening the spirit of patriotism and in giving innovative approach to research to the new generation. He underlined the contribution of youth in building Shrestha Bharat. A three-day national seminar in which a total of 63 research papers were read, in which a total of 10 resource persons from different states of the country read the research papers and expressed their views in front of the research scholars as keynote speakers. Session President of the first session of the third day, Dr. Shampa Choubey said that Subhash Chandra Bose called slavery the curse of India and dedicated his whole life to make it independent. 

Resource person Dr. Sudhi Mandloi described the role of Subhash Chandra Bose in preparing the National Planning work. He said that in Subhash Chandra Bose National Planning, a draft should be prepared for the unity and coordination of India and to create basic infrastructure and to fight against India’s increasing population and poverty, hunger and disease. He emphasized on the coordinated development of cottage industry and large scale industry. In this session, a total of 08 research papers were read by the researchers. The third day, 19 March 2023, started as the seventh session, with its session president Dr. Shampa Choubey, resource person Dr. Sudhi Mandloi and reporter Dr. Shailendra Singh, assistant reporter Sandeep Meshram and Ku. Mamta was there. Resource Person Dr. Sudhi Mandloi described the role of Subhash Chandra Bose in preparing the National Planning work. He said that in Subhash Chandra Bose National Planning, a draft should be prepared for the unity and coordination of India and to create basic infrastructure and to fight against India’s increasing population and poverty, hunger and disease. He emphasized on the coordinated development of cottage industry and large scale industry. In this session, a total of 08 research papers were read by the researchers.

Session President of the eighth and last session, Prof. Ramkumar Behar talked about Gandhiji’s control over Congress and challenging his ideas in Chhattisgarh as well. Resource Person Dr. Pooja Sharma and Reporter Dr. Sarita Dubey Resource Person Dr. Pooja Sharma presented important information on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s religious philosophy and secularism. A total of 6 research papers were read in this session. In the episode of research paper reading, Researcher Mr. Anil Kumar Katane underlined the contribution of Captain Lakshmi Sehgal in the role of Azad Hind Fauj and women. Pooja Kumari presented information based on Jhansi Rani Regiment in her research paper reading. Researcher Sandeep Kumar Meshram has done INA in Cellular Jail. Presented important information regarding The guests were felicitated by presenting Chhattisgarh’s state gamchha and mementos. On this occasion, Prof. of Rabindra Bhartiya University, Calcutta. H.K. Patel Head of Department Prof. Priyambada Srivastava, Senior Assistant Professor Dr.D.N. Khute also expressed his views on the occasion.

In the three-day national seminar, senior historian B.L. Bhadani, Prof. S. Ale. Nigam, Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, Prof. A.K. Patnaik, Prof. Ramkumar Behar, Prof. Mukesh Kumar, Former Head of the Department of History, Dr. Ramendra Nath Mishra, Prof. Senior historian including Abha Rupendrapal, Joint Director Public Relations Mr. Dhananjay Rathore, researchers and a large number of alumni and students were present.
