The turnover of the Swachh Manendragarh area level association engaged in vermicompost manufacturing in urban Gothan of district headquarter Manendragarh under new district Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur of the state has reached Rs.1 crore. With the launch of the scheme in the year 2020, the work of cow dung procurement started in Gauthan. Today 100312 quintal vermicompost has been sold by this union, whose amount is Rs 1 crore 32 thousand. In this, the net profit of the group is Rs 36.73 lakh. Group president Preeti Toppo says that she had taken some loan for her sister’s wedding from the dividend she got, she got rid of this money. Gave the children cycles to go to school and also took a TV set for home. Earlier, the people of the house were a little angry because of not being able to give time at home, but now they are happy to see the income. Member Augustina Ekka says that after the death of her husband, the family faced financial problems, but now she is working in Gauthan to support the family.
