Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, taking a major decision in the budget this year for the rehabilitation of boys and girls going out of the child care institutions run in the state, has announced to start Mukhyamantri Bal Uday Yojana for them. This scheme will help in self-reliance by showing the right path for the future life of the children going out of the child homes of the state. For this, a provision of Rs 01 crore has been made in the budget. Along with this, a rehabilitation plan has been made by increasing the age of leaving the child observation home from 18 years to 21 years.

Under the scheme, the state government will cooperate to rehabilitate and rehabilitate boys and girls above 18 years of age who are going out of child care institutions. Earlier, many children going out of the rehabilitation center had to face many difficulties in moving forward by joining the mainstream of the society including housing, employment. In these circumstances, many times children take their step towards crime as well. In view of this, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has taken a sensitive initiative for these children. On the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, under the leadership of Women and Child Development Department Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, a detailed action plan is being prepared to rehabilitate and rehabilitate the boys and girls going out of the children’s home.

 In the rehabilitation scheme, provision has been made to provide necessary financial assistance, employment assurance, housing and other facilities to the boys and girls for higher education. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has said that there should also be arrangements for vocational skill development of such youths, so that they can become self-reliant by joining self-employment. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has also given instructions to make provision for arrangement of community group housing in the scheme for boys and girls going out of care institutions.
