Apex Committee meeting of State Water and Sanitation Mission concluded

Under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, a virtual meeting of the Apex Committee of the State Water and Sanitation Mission constituted under the Jal Jeevan Mission was organized at Mantralaya Mahanadi here today. Various water supply schemes approved under Jal Jeevan Mission were reviewed in the meeting. The updated status of tender for water supply schemes was also reviewed in the meeting. The Chief Secretary instructed the officials to reward and honor the Gram Panchayats doing better work under the Jal Jeevan Mission. He has given instructions to the departmental officers to do physical verification of water supply schemes. Similarly, instructions have been given to the departmental officers to take necessary action regarding the maintenance of these water supply schemes by the Gram Panchayats by transferring the completed projects to the Gram Panchayats under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Officials of the Public Health Engineering Department said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 116 The work of providing water to every household in 361 villages of Gram Panchayats has been completed. Officials said that after giving completion certificates of 94 villages of 22 gram panchayats, water supply schemes have been transferred to the gram panchayats.
Various approved water supply schemes of the state were reviewed under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the meeting of the apex committee of the State Water and Sanitation Mission. In this, Bamhani group water supply scheme is threatened in Kabirdham district, Kharve group water supply scheme in Balodabazar district, Kaneri group water supply scheme in Balod district, Rangekhar group water supply scheme in Kabirdham district, Nikum group water supply scheme in Durg district, Anjora Dhaba group water supply scheme, Balodabazar district’s Giroudpuri group water supply scheme, Durg district’s Jewra-Sirsakhurd-Bhatgaon group water supply scheme, Gariaband district’s Supebeda group water supply scheme through various water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission.
