After the announcement by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to implement “Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana” in Chhattisgarh with the aim of promoting commercial tree plantation, the Forest Department has started preparing for the implementation of Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana in Chhattisgarh and preparations are in full swing. So far, more than 19 thousand beneficiaries have been registered by the Forest Department for plantation in about 30 thousand acres of private land. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has announced the implementation of this scheme in view of the immense possibilities of promoting the commercial use of trees in the state. Under this scheme, for the purpose of increasing the income of the farmers, commercial plantation is to be done on their land with the consent of the farmers. 

According to the information received from the Forest Department, so far 19 thousand 653 beneficiaries have been registered under the Mukhya Mantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana in 30 thousand 142 acres of private land in the state. Among these, maximum registration of 1 thousand 999 beneficiaries has been done in 4 thousand 730 acres of land under Jagdalpur Forest Division. Similarly, division wise registration of 2 thousand 119 acres of 2 thousand 358 beneficiaries in Balrampur, 1 thousand 543 acres of 623 beneficiaries in Dantewada, 1 thousand 336 acres of 795 beneficiaries in Sukma and 1 thousand 189 acres of 746 beneficiaries in Korea has been done. .

1 thousand 142 acres for 1 thousand 46 beneficiaries in Surguja, 1 thousand 98 acres for 316 beneficiaries in Durg, 1 thousand 72 acres for 983 beneficiaries in Korba, 1 thousand 57 acres for 729 beneficiaries in Manendragarh, 1 thousand 26 for 1 thousand 26 beneficiaries in East Bhanupratappur. Registration has been done in thousand 38 acres, 1 thousand 34 acres of 514 beneficiaries in Bijapur, 1 thousand 24 acres of 825 beneficiaries in Surajpur and 963 acres of 461 beneficiaries in Dharamjaigarh. 956 acres of 754 beneficiaries in Dakshin Kondagaon, 861 acres of 657 beneficiaries in Jashpur, 765 acres of 314 beneficiaries in Narayanpur, 726 acres of 618 beneficiaries in Keshkal, 705 acres of 518 beneficiaries in Dhamtari, 694 acres of 475 beneficiaries in Marwahi and Mahasamund. In this, 456 beneficiaries have been registered in 643 acres. 

Similarly, 573 acres of 506 beneficiaries have been registered in West Bhanupratappur, 572 acres of 473 beneficiaries in Katghora, 541 acres of 325 beneficiaries in Rajnandgaon, 514 acres of 300 beneficiaries in Kanker and 478 acres of 358 beneficiaries in Raigad. 460 acres of 239 beneficiaries in Bilaspur, 424 acres of 301 beneficiaries in Gariaband, 367 acres of 134 beneficiaries in Balodabazar, 356 acres of 194 beneficiaries in Mugenli, 342 acres of 213 beneficiaries in Balod, 247 acres of 78 beneficiaries in Khairagarh, and Karvadha In this, 118 beneficiaries have been registered in 213 acres. Apart from this, 177 acres of 84 beneficiaries under Jagdalpur Research and Extension, 109 acres of 76 beneficiaries in Janjgir-Champa, 56 acres of 30 beneficiaries under Bilaspur Research and Extension, 

This year, 12 species of trees will be planted in 30 thousand acres of land in the state.

In this regard, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. Sanjay Shukla said that under the Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana, 12 types of trees will be planted in 30,000 acres of land in the state this year. Out of these, Clonal Eucalyptus in 17 thousand 182 acres, Rootshoot Teak in 6 thousand 456 acres, Tissue culture in 2 thousand 617 acres, Sandalwood in 1 thousand 462 acres, Melia dubia in 8 hundred 34 acres, Normal bamboo in 7 acres. In 1037 acres, tissue culture bamboo in 607 acres, Rakta Chandan in 126 acres, Amla in 43 acres, Khamar in 40 acres, Shisham in 20 acres and Mahaneem in 20 acres. The target has been set.

Under the Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana, all interested landowners of all classes will be eligible. Apart from this, government, semi-government and autonomous institutions of government who want to plant on their own land will be eligible. Similarly, private educational institutions, private trusts, non-governmental organizations, panchayats, land contract holders, who want to plant in their land, will be eligible. The main objective of Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana is to promote commercial tree plantation in the state. Under this, after plantation of commercial species on the lands of all the farmers, government, non-government, semi-government, panchayats, or autonomous institutions of the state, a strong market system by making arrangements for the purchase of forest produce at the fixed support price through cooperative institutions, private companies. etc. is to be ensured.
