A three-day national research seminar on the regional dynasty of Chhattisgarh organized by the Directorate of Archaeological Archives and Museum Raipur was inaugurated in the auditorium of Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum, Raipur. Three academic sessions were held today, in which 12 research papers were read and 6 lectures were held. On this occasion, the research summary published by the department and the excavation report of the newly excavated site Rewa was released by the guests. Invited guest Padma Shri Arun Kumar Sharma, Professor Laxmi Shankar Nigam, Acharya Ramendra Nath Mishra and Professor Byomkesh Tripathi were present as keynote speakers in the inaugural session. 
Professor Byomkesh Tripathi said in the seminar that while writing regional history, not only political boundaries but also cultural boundaries should be kept in mind, only then the justice of history writing will be done. In his address, Acharya Ramendra Nath Mishra suggested scholars and researchers to work honestly in research work and also to be aware of the work done by the previous scholars, so that the research work being done by them at present could be relevant. 
Professor Lakshmi Shankar Nigam, in his base statement, while discussing about the regional dynasties of Chhattisgarh in chronological order, kept his point in relation to the difficulties in the research of their history and archeology and proper efforts should be made to connect the missing links of history. He said that in the historiography of regional dynasties, history should be presented on the basis of excavated material including inscriptions, seals, seals and other antiquities. 
Speaking about the importance of studying regional dynasties, Culture Secretary Mr. Anbalagan P discussed about the government’s plan to set up a history museum in Chhattisgarh. The director of the department Mr. Vivek Acharya gave brief information about the purpose of the research seminar. 
The academic sessions were presided over by Acharya Ramendra Nath Mishra, Professor Byomkesh Tripathi and Professor Dinesh Nandini Parihar. Dr. Sachin Mandilwar of Bodh Gaya, Dr. Atul Kumar Pradhan of Sambalpur and Dr. Devendra Kumar Singh of Amarkantak played an important role in the coordination of the session. After the end of the academic sessions, Dr. Purushottam Chandrakar and his colleagues from Lokranjani Lokkala Manch Cultural Institute of Raipur gave a cultural presentation.
