On the occasion of International Women’s Day, women’s safety and nutrition awareness workshop is being organized today by the Department of Women and Child Development at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium located in the Science College campus of capital Raipur.
Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Anila Bhediya inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. During this, Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Rashmi Singh, Sanjari Balod MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, Dharsinwa MLA Mrs. Anita Yogendra Sharma, Pandariya MLA Mrs. Mamta Chandrakar, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak and Member of Chhattisgarh Child Protection Commission Mrs. Asha Yadav were also present. In the program, Karate expert Mrs. Harsha Sahu taught women the tricks of self-defense. Dr. Shruti Prabhu of Satya Sai Hospital and Dr. Aparna Deshpande of UNICEF gave detailed information on adolescent girls and health and nutrition. Along with this, cyber expert Mrs. Monali Guha solved the queries of the students while explaining about cyber security. Along with this, blood and BMI tests of girl students are also being done.
On this occasion, Director of Women and Child Development Department Mrs. Divya Mishra, artist Mr. Anuj Sharma, departmental officers and students of various colleges are present in large numbers.
