12 girls are among 16 child scientists

The research work presented by 16 child scientists from Chhattisgarh at the National Children’s Science Congress held in Ahmedabad was highly appreciated by the experts. The National Children’s Science Congress was organized from 27 to 31 January in Ahmedabad, Gujarat by the Gujarat Council of Science and Technology and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. About 1200 child scientists from other states of India participated in it. Expressing happiness over the selection of 12 girls out of 16 child scientists, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Renu Pillay appreciated them. He said that this selection shows that girls are also actively participating in science and research work. This will also send a meaningful message to the society.
The National Children’s Science Congress 2022 will have five sub-themes: Knowing Your Ecosystem, Promoting Health, Nutrition and Well-Being, Ecosystem and Social and Cultural Practices for Health, Ecosystem-Based Approaches to Self-Reliance, Ecosystem Research work on technological innovation for system and health was presented.
Child scientist of Chhattisgarh in National Children’s Science Congress
Priyansh Bhaduri, Nandita Kevat, Rupshikha Sahu, Disha Sahu, Priyanshu Patel, Radhika Kanwar, Bhumika Joshi, Karam Samuel, Maheshwar Sahu, Jahnavi Thakur, Kiran Kanwar, Khushi Jha, Manohar Baghel, Prarthana Kevat, Anvika from Chhattisgarh in National Children’s Science Congress Gupta and Ananya Singh participated and presented the research project. Medals and citations were awarded to the child scientists in the concluding session.
Along with this, child scientists and teachers participated in teachers workshop, meet of scientist session, popular science talk, exhibition, activity camp, poster presentation and cultural program. Scientist Dr. J.K. Rai and four teachers Mr. Anil Tiwari, Mr. Jagdishwar Rao, Mrs. Meena Johnson and Mrs. Seema Chaturvedi participated and guided the child scientists.
Child scientists presented research project in Indian Science Congress
Apart from this, two child scientists Anmol Malviya and Kumari Harshita Rathiya, selected from the State Level Children’s Science Congress, presented their research project at the 108th Indian Science Congress held from 3rd to 7th January at Nagpur, Maharashtra. Along with this, the scientists of Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology Dr. J.K. Rai and Dr. Bina Sharma and two project staff demonstrated various activities of the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology through exhibits.
