Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today unveiled the statue of eminent journalist and former MP late Mr. Chandulal Chandrakar on his death anniversary in Gram Panchayat Bharregaon of Rajnandgaon district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to his statue and remembered his contribution to the state. The Chief Minister said that late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar ji devoted his entire life for the development of the state of Chhattisgarh and saving the cultural heritage of the state.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid a courtesy visit to the family members of late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar. It is notable that Late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar was a senior politician. He was the Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Agriculture, Rural in the Center. He was also a keen journalist. He was also the editor of many renowned newspapers of the country. The Chandulal Chandrakar Journalism Award is given by the Chhattisgarh State Government for his contribution to journalism.
