Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the Vishal Kisan Annadata Sammelan organized at village Bharregaon in Rajnandgaon district today. In the conference organized on the death anniversary of senior politician and ardent journalist late Mr. Chandulal Chandrakar, the Chief Minister gifted development works worth Rs. 24 crore 31 lakh to the residents of the district. He distributed material worth Rs 11 lakh 94 thousand to 43 beneficiaries in the programme. In his address, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel while saluting late Mr. Chandulal Chandrakar said that he has made an unforgettable contribution in the state building of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister shared things related to his life and told that he has made an important contribution in the field of journalism. It was his dream that Chhattisgarh should remain prosperous full of wealth and grains. Today this dream is coming true.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is following the path shown by late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar. He said that due to the farmer-friendly schemes of the government, there has been a lot of change in the field of agriculture in the state. People’s interest towards agriculture has increased. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the state government has procured more than 107 lakh 53 thousand metric tonnes of paddy from the farmers and the amount has been transferred to the farmers’ accounts. Relief has been provided to the farmers through online token. The Chief Minister announced the construction of a building in the memory of late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. He announced upgradation of Government High School of Paramalkasa to Higher Secondary School and Rs.5 lakh each to 36 sarpanchs of the area for village development.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is the leading state in the country in promoting small-grain crops. Since last year, under the Millet Mission, more than 52 thousand quintals of Kodo, Kutki, Ragi are being procured by the government on the support price and processing plants have also been started where 22 types of items are being manufactured. Natural paint is being manufactured from cow dung by the government. Gauthans have been constructed in every village and along with making vermicompost, they are moving forward in the direction of producing electricity from cow dung. He said that soon the rural industries policy will be brought, which will strengthen the rural economy. He said that extensive steps were taken in the direction of Paradan in Surgi. Today, in this episode, large scale donation is being done by the farmers of village Bharegaon and nearby areas. He said that 12 thousand 230 farmers have donated about 95 thousand 680 quintals in 414 Gothans. He honored all the farmers who had done Paradan.
Shri Laxman Chandrakar, the kin of Late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar recalled the old memories. He told that the vision that his maternal grandfather had for Chhattisgarh has come true today. With the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh, now it is moving ahead as a prosperous state. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is devoted to agriculture and is working for the welfare of the farmers. President of Rajnandgaon District Cooperative Central Bank Shri Nawaz Khan said that the Chief Minister has brought changes in the lives of farmers. Farmers’ income has increased and their children are studying in Swami Atmanand School. Chairman Krishi Upaj Mandi Committee Rajnandgaon Mr. Govardhan Deshmukh said that on the call of the Chief Minister, large scale paradan is being done by the farmers. Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Bharregaon Mrs. Ekta Chandrakar also addressed the program on this occasion.
