Organizing story and poetry lessons for budding writers
On the third and last day of the State Level Youth Festival, story writing was organized in the first session and poetry recitation in the second session. The first session was presided over by senior litterateur Mr. Pardeshi Ram Verma and the second session was presided over by Mr. Rameshwar Vaishnav. These budding writers were given detailed information about the nuances of literary creation, the subject-matter and the drawing of the plots. President of the first session of Chhattisgarh Folk Literature, Dr. Pardeshi Ram Verma released Parmanand Verma’s Gonda novel and Deepalta Deshmukh’s Baal Kahani in Sargujia language.
Story writing was organized in the first session and poetry recitation in the second session.
In the second session, senior litterateur Shri Rameshwar Vaishnav also recited the poem. Encouraging the budding litterateurs, he said that poetry is not created by wealth but by intention. Literature and the creators were connected to the creation of literature with full dedication and heart. He released the story collection ‘Indravati Ke Dhar’ written by Sudha Verma. On this occasion, Shri Anil Bhatpahri, Secretary, Official Language Commission also narrated his memoirs.
At the beginning of the session, Mr. Bandhu Rajeshwar Khare of Mahasamund recited his story titled ‘Mati Ke Aasra’. The story focused on the social evils of alcohol and gambling and their effects. Similarly, in the story ‘Khilauna’ by Mr. Chowaram Badal of Balodabazar-Bhatapara, a message has been given to behave towards disabled people by considering disability as an opportunity to serve the family and society.
The story of Mr. Mangat Ravindra of Korba focused on keeping the promise of a deal at the cost of the tongue and sticking to it. Similarly, in the story of Mr. Ramnath Sahu of Janjgir-Champa, the message of well-being of all was given in peace instead of passion in retaliation. In the story ‘Agora’ by Dr. Shail Chandra of Nagari, the intimate relation of the military family was underlined. Mr. Vikram Kumar Soni of Bastar mentioned the importance of Indravati river and the contribution of rivers in the development of human civilization in Halbi story.
Mr. Rupesh Tiwari tied the lamp with a poem like ‘Ag Jawaiya sun tor stay kaha hai, shahariya chakachoundh ma tor gaon kaha hai’. Bunty Chhattisgarhia started her poetry recitation with ‘Beti Sukh Ke Aankhi, Uhi Diya Uhi Baati, Tipat Tel Na Jhan Dar Ga, Beti La Pet Me Jhan Mar Ga’. Sushri Jaymati Kashyap recited his poetry at Halbi and Shri Narendra Padhi at Sadri and Bhatri. Poet Basant Raghav recited a poem centered on ‘Jaad’. Similarly, poet Shri Sushil Bhole recited the poem ‘Kon gali le aathe jaathe au logan l bharmate, ye jingi gham chaon ban jaathe’.
