The whole state including the art world of Chhattisgarh became proud

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel congratulated and congratulated the celebrities of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Ajay Kumar Mandavi and Mr. Domar Singh Kanwar, who were selected for the Padma Shri award. Expressing happiness over being selected for the country’s prestigious award, he said that it made Chhattisgarh proud including the art world.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first time after the formation of the state that three personalities from the state have been selected for the Padma Awards in a single year. Out of the three personalities selected for the year 2023, two are from the tribal community.
Among these Shri Domar Singh Kanwar will be given Padma Shri for his remarkable contribution in the field of dance. Shri Domar Singh Kanwar has also done remarkable work in the social sector. He has helped in stopping many evil practices like child marriage. Domar Singh, a well-known name in the field of art, has given more than 5000 performances in different parts of the country.
On the other hand, Mr. Ajay Kumar Mandavi will be honored with Padma Shri for preparing a unique specimen of artefacts. Mr. Mandavi, who engraves a wonderful piece of art on wood, is a resident of Kanker.
Ms. Usha Barle of Durg will be honored with Padma Award in the field of Pandwani singing. She has received Pandwani training from famous Pandwani singer and Padmavibhushan Teejan Bai. Ms. Barle has performed Pandvani in cities such as London and New York.
