Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is addressing the press conference after the review meeting of officials at Pali Tanakhar Assembly (Rest House) in Korba district under meet-meeting.

The meeting started from Surguja, going through Bastar is reaching all the Vidhan Sabhas. Constantly meeting and interacting with people, taking feedback of schemes.

People are taking full advantage of the schemes of the government. Paddy procurement is continuously increasing. Korba is progressing in agriculture. The trend of farmers has increased towards agriculture. Paddy production has increased almost 4 times in the last 4 years, people’s inclination towards farming has increased.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the maximum purchase of millets in the entire country has been done in Chhattisgarh.

The demand for Chironji of Korba is worldwide, so it has been decided to set up a processing plant for Chironji in Korba.

Now technology will be used for the collection of mahua, it has been decided to collect by putting net so that the quality of mahua does not deteriorate due to falling on the ground, it fetches more price. Five thousand quintals of Mahua were exported to England by collecting through net method.

The vehicles of the Haat Bazar Clinic scheme should go to all Haat Bazars, so that people can get maximum benefits, instructions have been given to improve its arrangements.

There has been a demand to open a medical store in the district under the Shri Dhanvantari Generic Medical Scheme.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that paddy collection centers have increased from 1900 to 2500, due to which farmers do not have to go far.

Better English medium education is being given even in remote areas.

He said that we are moving forward while working towards promotion of education, health and culture.

Tribal culture and traditions have to be saved, the construction of 25 Devgudis was announced yesterday for the preservation of culture.

Regarding the construction of Transport Nagar, the Chief Minister said that a decision will be taken regarding the site of Transport Nagar after the formation of a team of officers at the secretary level.

On Naxalism, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that last year there were least number of incidents, least number of casualties among the soldiers, least number of common citizens were affected.

Gauthan is proving useful as a day care for cattle. Various livelihood activities are also being conducted in Gothans. The villagers are getting employment here.

Gothans have been set up for crop protection, reducing incidents of road accidents and ensuring better livelihood in rural areas. Women will also produce electricity in Gothans.

Taking cognizance of the elephant problem in the district, the Chief Minister said that there should be no elephant-human conflict. Narva program is proving better to reduce this duality. Treatment of 13 thousand drains has been done.

On the demand of making Katghora a district, the Chief Minister said – not now.

Instructions given to the Collector to conduct survey of 117 Masahati villages of Korba district.
