Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will release an amount of Rs 7 crore 5 lakh online to cattle rearing villagers, women’s groups and Gauthan committees through a virtual program organized for the transfer of funds for the Godhan Nyaya Yojana at the Chief Minister’s residence office on January 10, in which 16 From December to December 31, 2022, Rs 4 crore 59 lakh has been given to Gothan committees in lieu of purchase of 2.29 lakh quintal cow dung from livestock farmers, villagers, farmers and landless, Rs 1.46 crore to Gothan committees and Rs one crore to women groups.
It is worth mentioning here that out of Rs 4.59 crore to be transferred to the vendors for cow dung purchase under Godhan Nyay Yojana, only Rs 1.76 crore will be paid by the Agriculture Department and Rs 2.83 crore will be paid by the self-supporting Gauthans. It is worth mentioning that till now 4,564 Gothans have become self-reliant in the state, who have started purchasing cow dung from their own accumulated capital. So far Rs 35.19 crore worth of cow dung has been paid by self-supporting Gauthans from their own funds.
Natural paint made of cow dung started being made and sold in Gothans
    As per the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Gothan established for conservation and promotion of livestock in the state is fast developing into a rural industrial park. Along with conducting various income generating activities in Gothans, production of natural paint from cow dung has also started as an innovation. At present, five units have been set up for making natural paint from cow dung, out of which two each are operational in Gauthans of Raipur and Durg districts and one unit is operational in Gauthan located in Charama of Kanker. So far 8997 liters of natural paint has been produced through these five functional units, out of which an income of Rs 7 lakh 2 thousand 30 has been earned from the sale of 3307 liters of natural paint.
The process of setting up units for making natural paint from cow dung in 37 identified Gauthans of 25 districts of the state is being completed at a fast pace. By the end of January, all these 37 units will start producing natural paint from cow dung.
387.32 crore paid to the beneficiaries of the
Godhan Nyaya Yojana Under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, Rs 380 crore 27 lakh has been paid to the beneficiaries in the state. After the payment of 7.05 crore on January 10, this figure will be Rs 387 crore 32 lakh.
Under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, cow dung is being procured at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg in the Gauthans of Chhattisgarh. Till December 15, Rs 192.86 crore has been paid to the cow dung vendors in Gauthans for the purchase of 96.44 lakh quintals of cow dung. This figure will increase to Rs 197.85 crore after payment of Rs 4.59 crore to cow dung vendors on January 10.
Rs 169.41 crore has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. After payment of Rs 2.46 crore to Gothan committees and self-help groups on January 10, this figure will increase to Rs 171.87 crore.
1 lakh 15 thousand 423 liters of cow urine has been purchased in

Production of 26.42 lakh compost fertilizers from cow dung – income of 105 crore 18 lakhs to the groups
More than 20.81 lakh quintals of vermicompost and more than 5.41 lakh quintals of super compost and 18,924 quintals of super compost plus manure have been manufactured by women groups in Gauthans, which are being sold through societies at Rs.10, Rs.6 and Rs.6.50 per kg respectively. Selling at rate. Women’s groups are earning profit by manufacturing and selling go-cast, diyas, incense sticks, idols and other materials, apart from manure from cow dung. Apart from this, production of vegetables and mushrooms, poultry, goat, fisheries and animal husbandry as well as various other income-oriented activities are being conducted by the women groups in Gothans, due to which the women groups have earned an income of Rs 105 crore 18 lakh so far. are done. There are 11,477 women self-help groups directly connected to Gothans in the state, whose members number 1,31, 898. Electricity and natural paint and other materials are also being produced from purchased cow dung in Gauthans.
More than 3 lakh 13 thousand rural cattle herders are benefited from Godhan Nyaya
, in the state Gothans are being constructed rapidly in the villages for protection and promotion of Godhan. There is free arrangement of livestock care, treatment and fodder-water in Gothans. So far approval has been given for the construction of Gothans in 10,894 villages in the state, out of which 9591 Gothans have been built and the remaining Gothans are under construction. 3 lakh 13 thousand 849 rural cattle rearing farmers are being benefited from the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
Paradan continues for Gothans: 5.13 lakh quintals of paddy para collected in Gothans
On the appeal of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the process of donating the Gothans of their villages by the farmers of the state continues unabated. Instead of burning Bhai Para in the fields, the farmers of the state are giving it to Gauthan committees for managing cow’s fodder. Such farmer brothers, who have tractors or other means available for para transport, are themselves participating in this pious work by taking paddy to Para Gothans after harvesting. Paras donated by the farmers are also being collected by the Gauthan committees and brought to the Gauthans. So far, 10 lakh 32 thousand quintals of Para Gaumata is available in Gauthans for fodder.
