The delegation of Jain Samvedna Trust Raipur paid courtesy call on Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike at Raj Bhavan today. The members of the delegation told the Governor that permission has been given for tourism and other activities under the eco-sensitive zone through a notification in the center of faith of Jain followers, Tirtharaj Shri Sammed Shikhar. The members said that this provision is against the dignity of a non-violent proven area. The delegation handed over a memorandum addressed to the Governor Sushri Uike and through her to the President and the Prime Minister and urged for initiative to declare Sammed Shikhar ji as a holy non-violence Jain pilgrimage area. Governor Sushri Uike listened seriously to the people of the Jain community and talked about making efforts for the expected cooperation.
On this occasion Mr. Gajraj Pagaria, Mr. Vijay Chopra, Mr. Mahendra Kochhar and other members were present.
