Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today reached village Lahod of Kasdol assembly of Balodabazar-Bhatapar district as part of the state-wide meet-meet programme. On reaching here, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was given a grand welcome by local public representatives and villagers. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel interacted directly with the villagers here and inquired about the ground situation of government schemes and programmes. He learned about the problems of the villagers and instructed the officials to solve them. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated and performed Bhumi Pujan of 46 development works costing Rs 52 crore 41 lakh in village Lahod. These include inauguration of 21 works costing Rs 39 crore 31 lakh and Bhoomipujan of 25 works costing more than Rs 13 crore. During this, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, Parliamentary Secretaries Ms. Shakuntala Sahu and Chandradev Rai,

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the villagers in the meet-meet program said that the Godhan Nyaya Yojana has become a source of income for the cow herders. People are now getting attracted towards animal husbandry. The Chief Minister said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the amount is being paid to the farmers in four instalments. Due to which the economic condition of the farmers is improving. The Chief Minister said that along with the increase in the number of farmers, there has also been an increase in the agricultural area. Agriculture has now become a profitable business. The income of the farmers has increased. Gauthans have been constructed in the villages, which are developing as livelihood centers.
