Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to national poet Maithilisharan Gupta on his death anniversary, 12 December. Recalling his works, Mr. Baghel said that Maithilisharan Gupta’s compositions of Khari Boli, full of national and social consciousness, influenced a large section. Seeing the impact of his writings during the freedom struggle, the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi gave him the title of national poet. He played an important role in establishing Khadi Boli as a poetic language and inspired new poets. Gupta ji was awarded many awards including Padma Bhushan for his classical literature. The Chief
