Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey has paid tribute to the great freedom fighter Loknayak Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary. He said that Birsa Munda challenged the then British Empire by running a great revolt ‘Oolgulan’. He not only fought for independence from the British, but also fought for the social and economic rights of the tribals. He was a folk hero of the Indian freedom struggle as well as a social reformer.
