CM launches fully automatic robot for knee transplant at Sree Narayana Hospital

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that every possible initiative is being taken to improve health facilities and its easy availability in every area including the remote areas of the state. Under this, the work of strengthening the health infrastructure in the state is going on continuously. With this, every citizen should get better benefits of health services in the state and even the poorest of the poor will be able to get treatment for serious and serious diseases.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel said this while launching the Central India’s first fully automatic robot for knee transplant surgery with state-of-the-art method at Sree Narayana Hospital in the capital this evening. He congratulated the entire team of the hospital for this and said that starting this facility here is a good achievement of Sree Narayana Hospital as well as our state. With the advent of this machine, the needy patients of Central India and Chhattisgarh will end their dependence on big hospitals in other metro cities for knee transplant surgery.
Addressing on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that during the last four and a half years, the health infrastructure of the state has been greatly strengthened in the medical services sector by joining the public and private sectors. It is a matter of pride for us that today our state has excellent treatment for all kinds of serious diseases. As a result of this, people from not only other states of India but from many countries of the world are coming to Chhattisgarh for their medical treatment.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel further said that now all kinds of new and modern medical techniques are available in the hospitals of our state. It was the result of our strong health infrastructure that we successfully faced a severe crisis like Corona. We not only ensured health security of the people of our state but also we were successful in helping other states. Our government is not only encouraging but also supporting the private sector to work with its full potential to strengthen the health infrastructure of the state. The program was also addressed by Dr. Sunil Khemka-Sri Narayana Hospital.
This robot named CUVIS has been specially manufactured by a company in South Korea for knee transplant surgery, which is state-of-the-art and fully automatic. Be aware that this company had launched the first surgical robot in the world. In this, with the planning before surgery, CT scan of the lower limb of the patient’s foot, focusing on the hip, knee and ankle is done. Due to the very fine accuracy and correction of the angle of Mannute degree, it becomes like a normal limb after robotic surgery and it has more life expectancy of the joints.
On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, Mayor Municipal Corporation Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, former minister Mr. Brijmohan Agarwal and advisors to Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma and Mr. Rajesh Tiwari and Dr. Ram Khemka, Mr. Rajkumar Agrawal, Dr. Pritam Agrawal. Including the medical staff of Sree Narayana Hospital were present.
