Chhattisgarh team will be involved in the national competition organized in Bangalore
15th state level roller skating competition concluded in capital Raipur

The roller skating team of Chhattisgarh will participate in the national competition held in Bangalore from December 11 to 22. School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam awarded prizes to the winners of the competition in the state level roller skating competition program here today. Speaking on the occasion, he said that continuous efforts are being made to promote this sport in the state. It is proposed to set up new skating grounds at Durg, Bhilai, Raipur and Bilaspur.
Dr. Tekam said that it is a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh that the country’s CBSE. Of the schools, the band track of 200 meters is available for skating only at Krishna Public School, Sarona. To promote skating in schools, Chhattisgarh government has included it in school sports since last year. Efforts are on by the Chhattisgarh government to create a proper skating environment in different districts of the state, in which new skating grounds are proposed to be constructed in Durg, Bhilai, Raipur and Bilaspur.
Minister Dr. Tekam said that this year the national level open challenge speed roller skating competition of skating has been organized. In which 1500 players of the country participated. It is also a matter of pride that for five consecutive years the National Competition of CBSE Board is also being organized in the ground of Krishna Public School, Sarona.
Dr. Tekam said that Chhattisgarh got the first position by getting gold medal in roller skating competition of national sport held at Ahmedabad this year. In this competition, Raipur’s player Amitesh Mishra has been awarded this year’s Gundadhur Samman by the state government for his best performance in skating in the country.
He said that girls are also not behind in this sport, in skating competition, N.H. Kumari Lavanya Jindal, a class 8th student of Goel World School won three gold medals in inline skating. Kumari Hemika Jindal, a student of NH Goyal School, class 10th, bagged gold medal in both singles and doubles categories in the below 16 years age group of the National Pickleball Competition held in Indore from October 7 to 9.
It is noteworthy that the 15th state level skating competition was organized from November 4 to 6 at Krishna Public School, Sarona, capital Raipur. More than three and a half hundred players took part in this competition. State level competition was organized for 120 medals in ring and road in different 6 age groups for boys and girls from 5 years to 17 years in inline and quad category.
The competition is recognized by the Indian Roller Skating Sports Federation. The team of Chhattisgarh will be selected from the winners of this competition. Selected team will represent Chhattisgarh in 60th National Roller Skating Championship 2022. This year this national competition will be held in Bangalore from 11 to 12 December 2022.
This year some competitions were organized in Tenacity and Toy Skates to promote roller skating sports, which led to the distribution of 75 medals to the new budding players. This enabled him to have a better knowledge of roller sports. For this, 4 age groups were created for inline and quad players from 3 to 5 years old and tenacity and toy skates.
On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Skating Association’s General Secretary Mr. Kishor Bhandari, school director Mr. Rakesh Mishra, Mr. Daljit Singh, well-known Vastu expert Dr. Seema Jindal, participating players and their parents were present.
