State’s Forest, Transport, Housing, Environment, Law Legislative and Climate Change Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Mohammad Akbar today inaugurated the new branch of District Co-operative Central Bank Maryadit Rajnandgaon in Vananchal village Rengakharkala of his Kawardha assembly constituency. This was an age-old demand of Vananchal region, which was fulfilled. Before inaugurating the bank, Shri Akbar garlanded the picture of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and duly offered prayers. At the beginning of the program, the song Dhar of Chhattisgarh’s national song Arpa Parri was also praised. Member CREDA Commission Shri Kanhaiya Agrawal, District President Smt. During the inauguration of the new branch of District Co-operative Central Bank, Minister Akbar inquired about the functioning of the bank and spoke to the account holders who came to withdraw money in the bank. Mr. Mahesh, a resident of village Barenda, took out Rs 3,000 in cash from the bank. The same Mr. Chandan Singh also took out cash from the new branch. The account holders told the Minister Akbar that now we will not have to go far with the opening of the bank. Now the amount can be withdrawn locally only. After selling the paddy, now we will be able to withdraw the amount from here. This will save both time and money. He told that earlier one had to go to Lohara for about 35 kms for bank work and withdrawal of money. But now the facilities have expanded due to the opening of banks in Vananchal for the residents of the area. Minister Shri Akbar congratulated and extended his best wishes on the opening of the new bank branch.
Cabinet Minister Shri Akbar said that the Government of Chhattisgarh led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is continuously expanding the banking facilities in the Vananchal region. With this, works will be done by connecting the rural economy to the banking sector. This will further strengthen the rural economy. The expansion of banking facilities in Rengakharkala today is also a result of the state government. He said that thousands of farmers of Vananchal region would get direct benefit from the opening of the bank here. The farmer will not have to go to Sahaspur Lohara Bank to withdraw his money. Now the problems of the farmers will be removed. This will save both time and money. Make full use of it all. During this, he also gave information about the schemes of the government. He said that after becoming the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Bhupesh Baghel started Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, ration card for all, Many schemes have been implemented including purchase of tendu leaves in support price, Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. So that farmers can become financially capable. He said that special backward tribes have been provided government jobs on the basis of reservation. 80 youths of the district have been given appointment letters.
