Raipur: Stock of all essential medicines required in government hospitals: Minister TS Singhdeo

Health and Family Welfare Minister TS Singhdeo has said that all district hospitals, primary health centres, community health centers and other health centers should have sufficient stock of medicines for the treatment of patients. He has said that there is no dearth of funds for the treatment of the people. He informed that adequate amount of budget is being made available by the state government for health facilities. 

Health Minister T.S. The Universal Health Coverage meeting was held under the chairmanship of Singhdev. In the meeting, the report of the preliminary plan for universal health coverage in Chhattisgarh was presented by the Public Health Foundation of India. It was informed in the report that Chhattisgarh Government is committed to provide quality health services to the general public in the state through universal health. The objective of UHC in Chhattisgarh is to provide equal health facilities for the care of health of all. Treatment, diagnostics, availability of medicines, rehabilitation and palliative services are to be provided free of cost in quality health services so that the common man does not face any kind of financial hardship. 

Representatives of PHFI informed that public expenditure on health has been increased from 5-6 per cent to 8-10 per cent. So that there is less expenditure by the people on health. Improvement of human resource position for health, training, It is necessary to maintain the health status of the population in the state along with strengthening the service delivery at the primary care levels. It is necessary to strengthen health services by expanding insurance coverage and to develop an efficient procurement system and distribution mechanism for medicines. It is important to consider increasing community participation and developing feedback systems by ensuring quality at every level of healthcare delivery. Establish a credible Health Information Technology (IT) system with strengthening overall health administration fficers and employees of Health Department attended.
