Raipur, 22 October 2022, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today arrived in the capital Raipur on the occasion of Dhanteras for Diwali shopping from local shopkeepers. During this, seeing the joy in the market, like the people of Chhattisgarh, there was happiness on the face of the Chief Minister. He said that, for the last two years, the market of the festive season of Diwali was affected due to Corona. There is a lot of excitement in the market this time. Due to various schemes and policies of the government, there is money in everyone’s pocket, from the villagers, laborers, farmers to the officers-employees. This money is now reaching the market. The business class is also excited by this. The Chief Minister said that, ‘Festival is an occasion, so I have also come to shop for my family’ Including the purchase of locally prepared rural products, as well as appealed to others to contribute to their economic prosperity by buying rural products and goods from local shopkeepers. During this, along with Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Home Construction Board Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Raipur Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure were also present.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel constantly encourages Chhattisgarhia rural products. In this episode, on the occasion of Dhanteras today, the Chief Minister reached Golbazar in the capital Raipur and went to the shops decorated by rural potters and bought earthen lamps, matka. On the other hand, women shopkeepers sitting in small shops went to Meena Bai Gawli, Manju Pawar, Budhiarin Bai and bought hand-crafted Mauli thread, defense threads, worship packets, pylons etc. The Chief Minister also bought five pieces of garland from 11-year-old innocent Sheikh Farhan, who was running his shop on the road with the help of a stick and in return gave five hundred rupees to the children. While shopping in Golbazar, the Chief Minister asked the girl Amrapali Ganveer, who reached there, what they are buying, the girl told that she is buying only from local shopkeepers, on which the Chief Minister gifted her peacock feathers after being pleased. At the same time, seeing the little girl Asu Baya, who was buying earthen lamps with her father, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel caressed the girl with a soulful lap.
After this, he reached the shop located on Malviya Road to buy sweets on the festive occasion, where he bought Gur Chikki, Gujarati Mawa Laddu, Papdi, Milk Cake and Chivda Phalli. During this, the Chief Minister especially tasted the taste of Orange Barfi and Fafda. Then Chief Minister Mr. Baghel reached the decorated firecracker shops at Hind Sporting Ground located in Lakhenagar and bought firecrackers like pomegranate, chakri, light, rope, rocket, toy gun, phuljhari for the family members and children. During this, firecracker businessman Sunil Kumar Gupta, who has been setting up a firecracker shop for the last 52 years, expressed happiness by meeting the Chief Minister and said that for the first time in his knowledge, a Chief Minister himself has come to buy firecrackers.
Our Responsibility to Promote Local Products:
On this occasion, while congratulating and wishing everyone on Dhanteras, Roop Chaudas and Deepawali, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that it is the responsibility of all of us to promote local products. If local products are promoted, then somewhere or the other it will further accelerate the pace of development of Chhattisgarh. He said that Chhattisgarh Government has started Van Dhan Vikas Kendra, Chhattisgarh Herbal to C-Mart (Chhattisgarh Mart) to promote traditional business, handicrafts and handicrafts. The Chief Minister said that the festival of Diwali is an occasion of hope especially for the Kumbhkar community, when their business is relatively high and they get financial strength. Similarly, rural women in Chhattisgarh are preparing various types of products like flower brooms, fringes from paddy earrings, terracotta including bamboo baskets. They should be encouraged by buying them.
There is happiness on every face with government schemes:
On a question regarding the brightness of the market, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the Chhattisgarh government is giving the right price to the farmers for their produce through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Financial assistance is being given to the poor, working class through the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Godhan Nyay Yojana has become a major source of income for the Gopalkas and Gauthan committees and women self-help groups in Chhattisgarh. In Chhattisgarh, along with restoring the old pension scheme, the dearness allowance of government employees was increased by five percent recently. Now up to 33 percent dearness allowance is being given to the government employees of the state. Plans and policies were also adopted to promote trade-industry. In this way, the Chhattisgarh government has made an effort to make every section financially prosperous and strong in the last four and a half years. The radiance seen in the market is the result of these efforts of the government. There is happiness on the face of every section due to government schemes.
