Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel did a detailed review of the working of the Revenue Department on the second day of the Collector’s Conference. He expressed deep displeasure over the lax working of the revenue department and told the collectors that the working of revenue should be tidy. The officers and employees of the Revenue Department should bring changes in their working style. People’s work should be done within the time limit. The collector and commissioner should regularly inspect the tehsil works. While reviewing the crop damage due to excessive rain and scanty rain, all the collectors were instructed to sensitively get relief amount under RBC 6(4) to the affected farmers within the time limit.
In the review of the Revenue Department, the Chief Minister said that the pending cases of conversion should be resolved within the time limit. Dispose of all revenue cases within the time limit. Citizens should not suffer due to delay in revenue matters. Giving a stern warning to the officials for not completing the work of the citizens within the time limit, said that strict action will be taken if complaints of corruption are found. He also directed to pay special attention to the receipts of revenue income.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, Smt. Renu G. Pillay, PCCF Mr. Sanjay Shukla, Revenue Commissioners of all divisions, Collectors of districts and senior officers of various departments were present.
Patwaris frozen for three years will be transferred
In the collector’s conference, the Chief Minister asked the collectors to transfer the patwaris who had stayed at one place for three years. He also expressed deep displeasure over the delay in demarcation cases in urban areas and said that the revenue staff in these areas should be changed. He said that demarcation cases should be resolved within time-limit. Similarly, in new districts, citizens should get the benefit of speedy disposal of revenue cases.
Baiga, Gunia, priests get Nyay Scheme benefits
The Chief Minister said that Baiga, Gunia, priests have also been included in the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana being run by the Revenue Department. Along with the information about the scheme, the beneficiaries of this scheme should get the benefits of the scheme.
The island of Gangrel Dam will be developed from the point of view of tourism
The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to have good hotels for the tourists to stay overnight in the tourist places of the state. He also asked to develop the island from the point of view of tourism in Gangrel Dam. He said that the number of tourists coming from different places of the state and the country would increase by providing better housing facilities. This will boost tourism as well as increase employment opportunities for the local people.
Residential Facility in Ram Van Gaman Tourist Circuit
While reviewing the development works being done in the Ram Van Gaman circuit, the Chief Minister said that arrangements should be made to provide residential facilities to tourists in important places coming in the circuit. For this, provision of housing should be included in the concept plan.
Settlement survey will be done in Kondagaon
The Chief Minister directed the Revenue Secretary and Collector Kondagaon to conduct settlement survey in Kondagaon district. For this, he has asked the collector to prepare an action plan and take immediate action. He also directed to take cooperation of commissioner and old SLR for settlement survey. Similarly, he was also asked to take the cooperation of retired revenue officers in the settlement work.
