For the prevention of Kovid-19 from the State Disaster Response Fund 60 crores given to Health Department

Raipur, 24 April 2020. State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Jai Singh Aggarwal has said that the top priority of the state government is to provide relief to the people during the Corona transition crisis. Mr. Aggarwal discussed the media representatives through a video conference today. He informed that Chhattisgarh has been successful in controlling the Corona epidemic under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. The Corona management of Chhattisgarh is receiving appreciation across the country including the Governor of the Reserve Bank. He said that under the direction and guidance of the Chief Minister, quick decisions were taken by the state government. Restrictive action was taken in Raipur as soon as the first corona positive case was received in the state. He said that relief was provided to the people affected by the nationwide lockdown for Corona control and prevention by camping in all the districts of the state.
Shri Aggarwal informed that 9 thousand 904 persons have been kept in 466 temporary relief camps by the state government. Similarly, 472 persons were accommodated in 36 relief camps by the NGO to ensure food and other necessary arrangements for them. Every day one lakh people are being provided food by the district administration. Similarly, temporary arrangements are being made for 31 thousand 484 laborers by the industrial units of the state and their food etc.
Disaster Management Minister Shri Jai Singh Aggarwal informed that under Disaster Management, the Department has included the items and parameters of the State Disaster Response Fund as per the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for the rescue and relief work of Novel Corona Virus (Kovid-19). 25 percent of the provision of the State Disaster Redemption Fund for collecting samples and Isolation to the affected persons and equipment and Approval to be 10 percent of expenses for establishing Ryogshala health department went provided.
15 crore rupees has been made available to the health department by the department in March 2020. There is a budget provision of 321.20 crore under the State Disaster Response Fund in the financial year 2020-21. Against which 25 percent and 10 percent total 35 percent is 112.42 crore, against which 60 crore rupees have been made available to the Health Department.
Disaster Management Minister Shri Aggarwal informed that South Eastern Coalfeds Limited Bilaspur has agreed to provide Rs 10 crore assistance to the State Disaster Management Authority from the CSR item for prevention of Novel Corona Virus Kovid-19. He informed that the Revenue Department has set up relief camps in all the districts of the state for the control and prevention of corona, to provide relief to the affected poor, laborers and other needy people. Food, pure drinking water and medical facilities are being made available to the affected people.
He said that Corona positive patients were promptly treated at Katghora in Korba district. Most of the patients have become healthy and they wished the patients soon to be healthy. He said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister and Health Minister, a team of doctors was sent to Katghora and the patients were tested and their treatment started soon. The Disaster Management Minister told the media representatives that the farmers have been provided compensation in the state as per rules, due to the unseasonal rains and hailstorms that have occurred in the past. Similarly, he informed that action will be taken as per rules in cases of encroachment in the state. The Revenue Minister said that under the state registration office lockdown will be started as per the guideline of the Central Government.
