Chief Minister inaugurated Chhattisgarhia Olympics by lighting the lampThe culture and civilization of Chhattisgarh has been discussed since ancient times. For some time this culture was almost forgotten. But after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Bhupesh Baghel started work on the plan to bring the culture and ancient civilization here on the world stage. Holidays on the occasion of local festivals, giving global recognition to sack-stale, making people aware about local festivals is the result of the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. In order to connect people with the culture of Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarhia Olympics has been started which has been conceptualized by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel himself.

Chief Minister inaugurated Chhattisgarhia Olympics by lighting the lampThe Chief Minister’s simplicity, seriousness and attachment to the local culture can be gauged from the fact that on the occasion of the inauguration of Chhattisgarhia Olympics, the Chief Minister himself reached the women kabaddi players with the referee’s whistle and started playing the role of a judge in the match. Not only this, the Chief Minister also tried himself as a player in games like Langdi, Bumblebee, Bati (Kancha) and Pitthul and presented himself as a player along with other players and encouraged the players.
It is worth mentioning that Chhattisgarhia Olympics has been started from 6th October today on the initiative of the Chief Minister to promote local sports to keep people connected with the culture of Chhattisgarh. In this Olympics, which will run till 6 January 2023, 14 types of traditional sports have been included in the team and single category, in which people below 18 years, 18 to 40 years and above 40 years are participating. With this, the local people will get a platform for sports, while awareness about sports will increase in them and sportsmanship will also develop.
