Won bronze medal in the semi-final event of Saber Team Championship, Chhattisgarh in the 36th National Games 2022. In the Saber Event Championship at Gandhinagar today, the team of Reshu Sahu, Gaurav Choudhary, Jubraj Singh, S.Viju defeated Haryana by 45-44 in the final moments of a struggling match in the quarterfinals to enter the semi-finals by registering a thrilling victory. But in the semi-final clash, the team had to be satisfied with the bronze medal. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Sports Minister Shri Umesh Patel, President of Fencing Dr. S. Bharathidasan and General Secretary Mr. Bashir Ahmed Khan, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Mrs. Shweta Sinha Srivastava, CDM Mr. Atul Shukla and Deputy CDM Mr. Rupendra Singh Chouhan have congratulated the winning players.

Saber team’s head coach Mr. Praveen Kumar Ganware, Mr. V Johnson Solomon and Mr. Anoop Chaudhary team manager Mr. Akhilesh Dubey informed that Chhattisgarh has so far won a total of 4 medals including 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in the competition for the state. Despite limited resources, the players of the state have achieved this success in one month of hard training.
