Against the target of providing farmers Rs 5800 crore as agricultural loan for Kharif season 2022, Rs 5 thousand 367 crore 88 lakh loan has been given to the farmers as on September 17, which is 92.94 percent of the target. . Last year, during the same period, loans worth Rs 4 thousand 570 crore were given to the farmers of the state.
It is worth noting that in the Kharif year 2021, agricultural loans of Rs. 4 thousand 747 crore 77 lakh were given to the farmers. According to the information received from the Agriculture Department, with the aim of promoting the use of organic manure in the state, arrangements have been made in the cooperative societies to provide vermicompost and super compost manure to the farmers in the form of agricultural credit. So far, farmers have lifted more than 6 lakh 61 thousand quintals of vermi compost as agricultural loan, the total cost of which is more than Rs 66 crore 12 lakh.
