Chief Minister’s instructions – Departmental budget should be used for health and education related equipment, DMF should be used for essential services
State level cell constituted for social audit of DMF item income and expenditure
The meeting of the State Level Monitoring Committee of the Mineral Trust under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister concluded.

Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, a meeting of the State Level Monitoring Committee of the Mineral Trust was held at his residence office today. Keeping in mind the high and general priorities from the DMF head, the Chief Minister has directed to take special care of austerity. The Chief Minister has said that the amount of DMF should not be used in the fair etc. to be organized in the district. In this meeting, a state level cell has also been constituted for social audit of DMF item’s income and expenditure.
The Chief Minister said that allocation of the amount of mineral item should be done in the direct and indirect affected districts on the basis of prescribed ratio. In this, allocation of funds should also be ensured for the newly formed 5 districts, so that development works can be completed on time with priority.
The Chief Minister said that the departmental budget should be used for the purchase of health and education related equipment. DMF item should not be used for this. He said that the purchase of equipment from this item would be allowed for Swami Atmanand Excellence Schools. Similarly, the purchase of vehicles for official use from the Mineral Trust item will be restricted, but ambulances and dead bodies can be purchased for essential services like health.
The Chief Minister has asked the officials to ensure that necessary action is taken to withdraw the stay order imposed by the court in the diamond mine of Gariaband district so that necessary process can be done to run the diamond mine there properly. In the meeting, the Chief Minister also approved the work and expenditure done in the directions of the previous meeting.
Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Komal Siddharth Singh Pardeshi informed that since the formation of District Mineral Trust, an amount of Rs.10 thousand crore has been approved for 70 thousand works. Out of which 43 thousand works have been completed.
In the meeting, Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhdeo, Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Ravindra Choubey, Forest and Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Subrata Sahu, Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi and other officials were present.
