Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to the father of folk art ‘Nacha’, Dau Dular Singh Mandraji, on his death anniversary on September 24. Recalling the invaluable contribution of Dau Dular Singh in the development of Chhattisgarhi folk art, Mr. Baghel said that Dau ji played an important role in keeping ‘Nacha’ alive in Chhattisgarh. He organized folk artists and restored the dance art to the masses. He made dance-gammat a powerful medium of propaganda against social evils along with entertainment. This initiative of his was very effective for social renaissance. He took ‘Nacha’ to a new dimension by connecting it with the society.
