Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state by offering prayers to Narmada Mayya and donating lamps at Narmada Dham Kund in village Sursuli in Balod district. The Chief Minister also offered prayers at the Lord Shiva temple here. The Chief Minister wished the state’s happiness, prosperity and happiness from Mother Narmada and Lord Shiva. On this occasion, villagers welcomed the Chief Minister and presented a picture of Mata Narmada Mata as a gift.
In his brief address on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that he has got a second chance to come here. He said that with the blessings of Mata Narmada and the people, he got an opportunity to do public service. Narmada Dham is a holy land. Here the sages and saints meditate. He took blessings from Swami Atmanand Saraswati doing Chaturmas here and said that as long as Swamiji stays in the state, he will be given the status of state guest.
The Chief Minister said that when sages and saints do rigorous sadhana at some place, that land becomes more important and virtuous land. The Chief Minister said that all of you got an opportunity to listen to Swamiji’s discourse, due to which the importance of this place has increased even more. The Chief Minister said that when a saint performs Chaturmas, there is an opportunity to seek blessings from him. The Chief Minister agreed to build a bridge, culvert and road for the development and beautification of Mata Narmada Dham. Village Sursuli is 5 km away from Jewartala, there is greatness of lamp donation in Narmadadham, Chief Minister should bring a separate time for Darshan in Narmadadham.
