Players from 12 countries to be part of Chief Minister’s Trophy India International Challenge-2022

On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, for the first time, an international match of badminton is going to be held in Chhattisgarh. Apart from India, badminton players from 11 other countries will participate in this. A total of 550 players are going to participate in this badminton competition in men and women category. The game will be organized at Eye Sports Badminton Arena located in Mowa, Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.
According to the information received from the organizing board regarding the Chief Minister’s Trophy India International Badminton Challenge-2022, this is the first time that an international level badminton event is going to be held in Chhattisgarh. Apart from India, badminton players from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Canada, USA, Maldives, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Japan, Uganda and Zambia will reach to participate in the competition. It was told that 550 players from 12 countries including India will showcase their sportsmanship in the competition. The event, which runs from 20 to 25 September, will see the qualifying rounds on the first two days i.e. 20 and 21 September and the main draw from 22 September to 25 September. Men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles events will be played during this period. The prize money in this competition has been fixed at 15 thousand US dollars.
