Raipur 13 September 2022
We should have knowledge of English, it is very important to move forward but to remain a good human being it is also very important to connect with our roots and for this we need knowledge of local language. Our local language gives us an understanding of our surroundings, teaches us the knowledge that comes from tradition. Otherwise, the knowledge of so many generations that is in Chhattisgarhi language will be forgotten, if Chhattisgarhi is not able to understand it, then what a great loss it will be. Therefore, teach a lot of English in schools but Chhattisgarhi should not be neglected, it is equally important. The Chief Minister spoke to the student Vanshika in the meeting program today.
It happened that Vanshika Pal, a student of Swami Atmanand School, interacted with the Chief Minister during the meeting. The Chief Minister wanted to answer Vanshika’s questions in Chhattisgarhi. But Vanshika said- “I don’t understand Chhattisgarhi”. Then the Chief Minister had a conversation in Hindi, while replying in English, Vanshika said that her mother is a housewife and her father is a painter. Also told that Swami Atmanand English Medium School is a good school. The teachers here are very good. I want to become a doctor. The Chief Minister applauded. Along with this, it was also said in the discussion that it is important to stay connected to your roots, that is why one day Chhattisgarhi is being taught in all schools. Connecting with your language increases your love for your earth. Increases understanding of your environment. , Therefore, to save the culture of Chhattisgarh, we have to adopt Chhattisgarhi language.
