An announcement was made to make 100 bed hospital of Chirmiri a district hospital, development of Siddha Baba temple of Manendragarh by tourism department and Rs 3 crore each for the development of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district in a program organized at Manendragarh today. Along with this, he inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs 200 crore 73 lakh. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was welcomed by wearing a garland, crown, floral showers and saropa. The Chief Minister thanked the people of the area for his unprecedented felicitation and extended his congratulations and best wishes for the new district.
The Chief Minister said that today on the 9th of 9 months, the years-old demand of the people of the area has been fulfilled. The years old dream of the residents has been fulfilled. This auspicious day has been recorded in history. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to make Chirmiri 100 bedded hospital as district hospital, development of Siddha Baba temple of Manendragarh by tourism department and three crore each for the development of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.
In his address, the Chief Minister said that we have created 6 districts and 85 tehsils during our tenure. First we formed Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, after that we formed other 5 districts. The purpose of creating districts and tehsils is to bring administration closer to the people. The more district, tehsil, sub-division offices are close to the public, the faster and more effective government schemes will be implemented and all sections of the society including youth will get the benefits of the schemes.
The Chief Minister said that we are moving ahead on the path of rapid development. Earlier electricity used to come from Madhya Pradesh, now it is produced in Chhattisgarh. We benefited the farmers through loan waiver, Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana. He said that the highest price of minor forest produce is in Chhattisgarh. Today we are buying 65 minor forest produce. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the world where cow dung is being procured.
The Chief Minister has said that Swami Atmanand School has been started to promote education. At present Swami Atmanand English medium schools and 32 Hindi medium schools are running. In the coming session, 422 high and higher secondary will be upgraded as Swami Atmanand Utkrisht Vidyalayas. International level school will be opened in Naya Raipur, which will benefit the children of Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister said that we have developed Ramvan Gaman Path to promote culture. Along with this, Ghotul and Devgudi were protected in the tribal areas. Speaker Mr. Charandas Mahant, MP Mrs. Jyotsna Mahant, MLA Mrs. Ambika Singhdeo, Mr. Gulab Kamro, Mr. Vinay Jaiswal also addressed on this occasion. Public Works and Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria and officials were present in the program.
