So far in the state, paddy is in 34 lakh 74 thousand 610 hectares, maize in 2 lakh 98 thousand 350 hectares, kodo-kutki and ragi, pulses in 2 lakh 52 thousand 150 hectares, oilseeds in 1 lakh 17 thousand 820 hectares and 1 lakh 59 thousand Sowing of vegetables and other crops has been completed in 510 hectare area.
The state has a target of sowing kharif crops in 48 lakh 20 thousand hectare area in the Kharif season 2022, in which 33 lakh 60 thousand 500 hectares of paddy, 4 lakh 60 thousand 780 hectares including maize, Kodo-Kutki, Ragi crops, 4 lakh The target of cultivating pulses in 48 thousand 180 hectares, oilseeds in 2 lakh 67 thousand 700 hectares and vegetables and other crops in 2 lakh 82 thousand 850 hectares has been set. Against the set target, so far paddy has been sown in 24 lakh 87 thousand 270 hectares, which is 111 percent of the target. Similarly, paddy has been planted in 9 lakh 87 thousand 340 hectares in the state, which is 88 percent of the target. Paddy has been sown in 34 lakh 74 thousand 610 hectares including paddy sowing and transplanted sowing, which is 103% of the target of sowing paddy for the current Kharif season.
Maize has been sown in 2 lakh 14 thousand 180 hectares, Kodo-Kutki in 65 thousand 260 hectares and ragi in 18 thousand 910 hectares, which is 65 percent of the target of 4 lakh 60 thousand 780 hectares. Under pulse crops, arhar has been sown in one lakh 18 thousand 710, moong 15 thousand 900, urad 01 lakh 15 thousand 370 and kulthi has been sown in 2170 hectares, which is 4 lakh 48 thousand 180 hectares earmarked for pulses. K is 56 percent of Boney’s target.
Similarly, till September 7, in Kharif season 2022, groundnut has been sown in 52 thousand 790 hectares, sesame in 21 thousand 60 hectares, soybean in 42 thousand 110 hectares, Ramtil, sunflower and castor sesame in 1860 hectares. 44 percent of the target. Vegetables and other crops have been sown in one lakh 60 thousand hectares, which is 56 percent of the target.
